Experts agree with me that oil will rise to unprecedented levels. There are some who say that oil will rise to more than $400 per Barrel by 2010. Now is the time for us to come up with some innovation of our own. Let's hope our new President will move quickly like a comet toward energy independence or this nation will soon be only a memory.

Oil prices have come down a little, but this isn’t the end. Oil prices could skyrocket again at any time, the only way to insure stability is to move out of dependence on the world oil market. This nation must fight to become energy independent now. Don’t let the lower price of oil lull you into thinking everything is alright, because it’s not. The oil companies have driven this nation to the point of collapse. We must keep fighting for alternative fuels and better gas mileage for our vehicles. There is new technology on the way so don’t give up. Look at the page "Energy Independence Equals Freedom" on the top right column.

We as a nation have been known for our ability to overcome overwhelming

challenges. It's time to take on another Goliath! The oil industry has become

too big for its own britches. It’s time they see how Americans can put them

in their place. This nation will either stand or fall depending on how we

handle the energy crisis we now face. Speculators are driving up the cost

of oil to astronomical amounts as well. We must stop this problem within

our borders. It’s time to take drastic action to save the nation we love.

If not for ourselves, let’s do it for our children and grandchildren.

There is an old saying, when the times get tough the tough

get going. Let’s get going!!!!! It ain’t over till it's over.

We will either come out of this as champions

or losers. We must win, or we will become an

impoverished third world nation.

Is this the legacy you want to pass on to your children?

Oil was once the best and most economical way to fuel our

nation, however it is becoming too costly and unpredictable

for us as a source of energy. Add to this the harm oil is

doing to our environment and it is just not worth the cost

anymore. We may be able to live a few more years using

oil as our primary source of energy, but in the end we must

find a better way. That way is Hydrogen. There is an unlimited

supply all around us in the form of water and it burns with little

or no toxins. The fact that we are spending most of our gross

national product on oil should make us cringe.

We are becoming poor while the oil producing nations are

becoming filthy rich.

Dictators around the world say jump and

all we can say is "HOW HIGH"!

Aren’t you tired of this? I know I am.

Given the proper equipment we could generate hydrogen at home

much as we charge up batteries by plugging into a wall socket.

Of course we could also save the energy and cost by using solar

panels or wind generators. It is true that one must be careful with

hydrogen, but gasoline or natural gas can also be explosive if not

handled with respect.

A recent development from Purdue University.

With this technology we could buy pellets from

the store and produce hydrogen onboard our

vehicle as we need it.

Because the technology could be used to generate hydrogen on

demand, the method makes it unnecessary to store or transport

hydrogen - two major obstacles in creating a hydrogen economy,

Woodall said.

"It's a simple matter to convert ordinary internal combustion engines

to run on hydrogen. All you have to do is replace the gasoline fuel

injector with a hydrogen injector," Woodall said.

Engineers perfecting hydrogen generating technology

Using this technology all you would need to do is drop a

pellet in your tank of water and make your own fuel.

My parents told me this type of technology was in

place back in the 1940's. My parents told me the

oil industry bought up the patent and buried it.

I’ve been told that this was not true, but from

what is coming out of Purdue, it seems more

feasible than even I thought possible.

Stanley Meyers an inventor invented a hydrogen generator that was very promising. The problem is that big oil and the scientific community did the same with him as they have with us; they blew him off. I spoke to a man near where I live that has seen one of Meyers hydrogen generators working in a little town in Arizona. This is just one of many inventions that make Hydrogen not only possible but practical. It would clean up our air and save our economy.

We have anti Monopoly laws in force and it’s time this

nation uses those laws to put big oil in its place. They

During WWII Germany couldn’t get gasoline so
they burned hydrogen almost exclusively for
much of the war.

Of course, there needs to be

other energy sources until such

time as we can produce enough

hydrogen.

We must allow more oil exploration within our borders but with the

express guidelines that such oil must be sold in our own country

and at a price we can afford to pay.

It is inexcusable that our government allows the oil companies to sell

our own oil back to us for the same price the oil barons in the Middle

East demand.

It is also inexcusable that they sell oil that should be used in our own

country to other nations.

We have vast coal deposits and Oil Shale in our country

that can be used to produce affordable energy, why aren’t we?

The problem is and always will be that when given the chance the

FEW will enslave the MANY by whatever means possible. We’ve

become the slaves to big oil, and I hate to be the one to break it to

you, but our government is involved. It’s time to throw off the

chains of oppression. Like our ancestors of old who had a tea

party it’s time we have our own party. If enough of us band

together and let our voices be heard you will see Washington

get off their duffs and move forward to correct this mess while

we still can. I can’t stress this strongly enough! We must act

now to safeguard ours and our children’s future. Don’t you find

it strange that on one hand everyone says global warming

threatens our planet and yet those in power refuse to do even

the simplest thing to stop it? Hydrogen burns with no pollution,

the only byproduct is steam. You can produce Hydrogen by

merely placing stainless steel plates in water and connecting

them to a car battery. Of course it’s a little more technical than

that, but it’s not a big deal. The problem is control.

Power over energy means power over you!!!!!!!!!!!

I realize this may take a few minutes of your time,

but if you don’t do anything about it then who will?

We stand to lose our nation due to negligence.

Our greatest enemy is our own indifference.

We have energy independence

in our grasp, let’s fight to make

it happen!!! Energy independence

equals freedom for all of us.

What we must do is write Emails, letters, and

or make phone calls to our members of

congress. We must tell them we want

something done immediately. We’ve had

enough talk, we want action. We want congress

to regulate the energy providers (oil, gas,

etc) to prevent fiascos of this kind

in the future. It is only right that they get a fair

price, but these skyrocketing never-ending

price increases must stop. It’s time to formulate

a national plan to provide alternate sources of

energy and leave big oil holding the bag. If private

companies will not put the national interests

above their pocket books then its time they are

put out of business!!!!!

I've been told by some that hydrogen may not be the best way. They advocate electric cars. Maybe they’re right in some cases, but wouldn’t that limit how far you could travel before you need a charge? Also when you run out of energy it would mean several hours to recharge. However, I am for anything that will free us from the clutches of Big Oil and that will cut down on pollution. Let’s face it, global pollution is a real problem.

Remember that when energy prices go up it affects every facet of our life and economy, from food prices, building materials, to housing, job opportunities, and yes even our personal freedoms. So don’t think it doesn’t affect you, because oh yes it does.

My son spoke to a man from Kuwait and was surprised to find out that Big Oil is buying oil for around $50.00 per barrel. If what the man said is true big oil companies are marking up the end cost to our present levels. That also means that even if we find oil in our country the price won’t come down much unless we can get through to our government. We need term limits, and we also need to vote out all those who refuse to respond to our letters.

Please remember both sides are at fault. Don’t think that by voting in one particular candidate you will solve the worlds problems. It will take millions of us sending to our representatives from every corner of America for us to get anything done. So if you care about this nation, please get on board. I can’t do this alone!!!! And don’t give up, keep fighting for change!!!!!

In respect to energy I am neither Democratic nor Republican, but American!!!!! Both sides have fumbled the ball, and they need to be humble enough to accept that fact and do what’s right for the American people.

A friend of mind told me that one of the networks did a very favorable program on hydrogen. This is very good news. I realize hydrogen technology will take time to catch on, but in time it will be our best and most economical source of energy.

I’m sure hydrogen has gotten a black eye from all the kooks and scam artists on the web promising you the moon, but in the end all they deliver is broken dreams. I’m sure you’ve heard about them. I tried one of those sites to see if there was any truth to their clams and of course, there wasn’t. However, that does not mean hydrogen is bad. The problem is with greedy people who take advantage of others whenever they have an opportunity. Since energy is such a hot button issue today, it shouldn’t be a surprise there are those taking advantage of others. If someone tells you he’ll paint your home if you pay him up front, does that mean paint isn’t good if the guy skips out with your money? Of course not! Well then please don’t let the crooks discourage you from our best source of energy.

There are reputable universities and corporations working to make hydrogen the star it truly is. If hydrogen can power our sun, it can power our car, heat our home and produce vast quantities of energy to power our nation.

Give it a chance and you will never be sorry. We can clean up our air and at the same time become a nation dependant on no one else for the energy to power our homeland.

Hydrogen-Fueled Hybrids Set to Roll in CA

IRVINE, CA (Jan. 26, 2006) - Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies Worldwide Inc., delivered the first five of 30 hydrogen-fueled Toyota Prius H2Hybrid vehicles to the city of Santa Ana, CA.

This is part of a larger South Coast Air Quality Management District (AQMD) program to develop and demonstrate the use and durability of state-of-the-art OEM-caliber hydrogen fuel hybrid vehicles. Included with the vehicles was a hydrogen refueling station. The AQMD initiative is intended to stimulate the early demand for hydrogen, expedite the development of infrastructure, and provide a bridge to fuel cell vehicles. A key benefit of this program, says Quantum, will be the opportunity to educate the public on the use and safety of hydrogen as a fuel through its demonstration in vehicles with which the public is already familiar.

According to Quantum, the complete hydrogen internal combustion engine fuel system, including both the injection system and hydrogen storage system, was developed at its Advanced Vehicle Concept Center in Lake Forest, CA. Included in the fuel systems are the company's patented fuel injectors, fuel rails, electronic control system and software, hydrogen storage and an optimized turbocharger. In addition to performing in specified starting conditions and meeting certain drivability specifications, the vehicles have been designed and tested to achieve SULEV (Super Ultra Low Emissions Vehicle) emissions standards. Technical specs and other information for the Toyota Prius H2Hybrid is available.

"We believe this program will help expedite the expansion of a hydrogen infrastructure and bridge the technology gap between conventional gasoline vehicles and fuel cell vehicles, as this technology of the future is being commercialized," said Alan P. Niedzwiecki, president and CEO of Quantum.
